"Some would go berserk if this was Obama doing it ..."

Oh please, Obama would have never done this. He paid them off with money instead. Try to come up with a more credible name.

MASSIE: This is not Constitutional

If Congress doesn't like this move, they can vote to impeach and remove.

They won't

End of story Mr. Messie.

"Go bother and pester another site, punk."

Has anybody stopped to think that RandFan could actually be Rand Paul? Think on it. Rand Paul loves himself so much, trips over his feet running to get in front of a TV screen, so why wouldn't he be on FR promoting all the articles about himself, and commenting on himself here? He's only been here since 2019. If it isn't Rand Paul, then you have to feel sorry for someone is so obsessed with the guy, that they live, eat and breathe Rand Paul 24 hours a day.

Naval diver Robert Stethem was killed in 1985 by Iranian-backed Hezbollah terrorists after they hijacked the plane he was on.

Upon the death of Nasrallah last year, praise to the Israelis, Robert’s brother, a Navy Seal, spoke out. What he said applies here, too, with the current situation in Iran:

https://nypost.com/2024/09/28/world-news/brother-of-navy-diver-killed-in-hezbollah-hijacking-in-1985-reacts-to-nasrallahs-death/

“If you don’t take care of something when it’s a small problem, it grows into a big problem and grows chronic and then it can grow terminal,” Stethem noted.

“We don’t wish harm on anyone,” he said of his family, which includes two other surviving siblings. “But those responsible need to be accountable.”

All I have to say is thank goodness for a strong, courageous Israel because over the last 1.5 years they have taken out a lot of bad guys. And thank goodness we have President Trump.

Hey, Massie.... this one’s for Jimmy Carter!
......

Looked it up..
Executive order 12170- November 14, 1979 re: Iran...

Still active..

Oldest existing ‘National emergency’ this nation has.

Maybe that seemingly endless ‘National emergency’ is one day closer to being finished.

Possibly but not on the grounds of constitutionality.

I didn’t think to check to see what the rally was about, I don’t know what has him out making speeches nowadays.

It was done properly. The President has authority as Commander-in-Chief to launch targeted strikes without congressional approval, particularly for urgent threats, under Article II, Section 2. Historical examples include

Article 2, Section 2:

"The President shall be Commander in Chief of the Army and Navy of the United States, and of the Militia of the several States, when called into the actual Service of the United States; he may require the Opinion, in writing, of the principal Officer in each of the executive Departments, upon any Subject relating to the Duties of their respective Offices, and he shall have Power to grant Reprieves and Pardons for Offences against the United States, except in Cases of Impeachment.

He shall have Power, by and with the Advice and Consent of the Senate, to make Treaties, provided two thirds of the Senators present concur; and he shall nominate, and by and with the Advice and Consent of the Senate, shall appoint Ambassadors, other public Ministers and Consuls, Judges of the supreme Court, and all other Officers of the United States, whose Appointments are not herein otherwise provided for, and which shall be established by Law: but the Congress may by Law vest the Appointment of such inferior Officers, as they think proper, in the President alone, in the Courts of Law, or in the Heads of Departments.

The President shall have Power to fill up all Vacancies that may happen during the Recess of the Senate, by granting Commissions which shall expire at the End of their next Session."

Sorry, but I do NOT see here any justification for the acts of death and destruction that you mention. You and others here seem to have concocted an intermediate state between war and peace, that does not exist in this or any other constitutional text I am familiar with. So how many people is the POTUS allowed to kill without requiring an act of war? How much destruction is he allowed to cause? Why is it so impossible to follow the Constitution and get an authorization via a declaration of war?

Not likely.

If Obama had done my opinion of Obama would have improved.

This is not Constitutional.

So tell a Federal District Judge to reverse it.

So, in 1973, Congress handed over much of their ABSOLUTE power to POTUS for some period of time in each instance.

At least they can fly home for their scheduled vacations.

My basic question from a philosophical basis is:

Does it take two to agree to Tango?

Or is one enough?
