Padilla’s office issued a statement that the Senator was conducting his legitimate function of “oversight”! Looks to me like he got his _ss handed to him despite outweighing security by a bunch. Noem barely skipped a beat as Padilla was shown the door.

The story is already on Wikipedia. Of course he did nothing wrong. He just asked a question. This is how he got treated by fascists.
I did learn that he grew up in LA but his parents are from Mexico and came here before he was born. It does not say if they came legally, but I assume they didn’t. He got into politics because of proposition, 187 which in 1994 California people voted for. What it did was forbid California from providing benefits to illegal aliens. It was wonderful, but then the courts came along and said we couldn’t do that.
He’s held all kinds of political office, but his latest one before signature was as California secretary of states. Secretaries of state are in charge of elections. They refused to give information to the Trump administration in 2022 about people who are on the election rosters. He probably knows very well that without illegals being counted on the census, Dems would be out of power.

California is inching its way to be declared in insurrection against the United States.

Trump can then arrest the state government, lustrate all Democrats from voting and holding public office, appoint a military governor, and submit plans to Congress to break up the state into 4 Republican leaning states and 1 liberal; or, preferably leave the leftist coastal zone a territory of the United States with no voting rights.
