I am getting less optimistic as to whether Trump's law enforcement and national security team will break or even lessen the power of the Deep State, or permanent government. Rudy Giuliani, General Flynn, Roger Stone, President Trump himself, and a host of other Trump supporters faced an endless barrage of civil and criminal charges for years. Yet Patel conceded that no action will be taken against Comey, whose daughter, as far as I know, still works for the Justice Department in New York.
