You might be right about that. The plural is not a word i’ve used often so had to look it up

Shame we can’t edit on here because in my previous post I meant to use it in reference to Trump having a lot on...

It's one thing to spend tax money teaching shrimp to run on a treadmill, or paying the mentally ill to teach pre-schoolers how to engage in sexual perversions. It's another thing to spend tax money in an effort to grow the economy out of disaster.

Also, like a giant, ocean-going oil tanker, the US economy can not and should not be expected to turn on a dime.

If the average American can’t read it complete in a day, it’s too damn big.
Or, in the words of Nancy Pelosi, do we have to pass it to find out what is in it?

The terminating ‘s’ is not silent, AFAIK. I’ve always heard it pronounced in English. If you were saying the word in French, however, it would be a single syllable without the terminating s.

Are you confused by the word vacation? They don’t want to pass it until July 4th which is plenty of time.

I agree with you, I’m the one saying, let the process play out and to be patient, if BBB ultimately fails then it will be time to be upset, we have plenty of time to get something passed.

Musk said in a preview of an interview set to air this weekend on “CBS Sunday Morning.”

They only like Musk when he bashes the GOP. Bottom line, Government legislation is messy because of politics - which Mush doesn't deal with at his companies because there is only one boss so it's difficult to accept the BS in government.

the legislation got thru the House without much fanfare

You and the Rand fan are such liars! Trump went to congress and hand carried the bill through the house, that's the only reason it passed. That's not the POTUS's job, it's the speaker of the house and the senate majority leaders in the senate. And for you little weasels to suggest Trump is not doing enough as your preferred POS senators are stabbing him, and us, in the back; Is a disgusting outrage worthy of only extreme left freaks.

Please go back an read my responses, I’ve NEVER said Trump wasn’t doing enough, I have been really hard on Rand Paul and my Senator from Florida Rick Scott for running to the nearest microphone to say they are voting NO before the bill is even introduced.

I’ve said negotiate the BBB, given the slim Republican majorities in the House and Senate, compromises will have to be made to get anything passed.

I reject any notion that I’ve lied about anything concerning the BBB and it’s ridiculous to say otherwise.

As I've already pointed out, your statement "the legislation got thru the House without much fanfare" is a lie because Trump himself went to congress to usher the bill through and it was covered extensively in all media. So that makes two lies from you that I have pointed out in this single post.

It is simply not a lie, it’s a matter of opinion, but whatever, it’s not worth arguing about considering the totality of the situation.

DOGE cuts are to discretionary spending. (Eg the federal bureaucracy). Under senate budget rules, you cannot cut discretionary spending (only mandatory) in a reconciliation bill.

So DOGE cuts would have to be done through what is known as a rescissions package or an appropriations bill.

The Big Beautiful Bill is NOT an annual budget bill and does not fund the departments of government. It does not finance our agencies or federal programs. Instead, it includes the single largest welfare reform in American history. Along with the largest tax cut and reform in American history. The most aggressive energy exploration in American history. And the strongest border bill in American history. All while reducing the deficit.

He’s already said the Senate can rework it, pass it then let it go to reconciliation. Trump is juggling a lot right now, the Senate needs to stop complaining and fundraising and get to work.

This is the way Budget and funding bills are supposed to work. The bill will have to go to a Senate-House Committee.
