My hat’s off to you.
I’m not a big fan of the MI movies but I do love Tom Cruise’s enthusiasm and dedication to making good movies without getting caught up in all the wokeism. Rewatched part one last night and will likely go see sequel today just to encourage more of the same.
These stunts that require jumping and leaping are practiced at almost ground level, with safety nets or air mattresses I’m told.
His standing on the fuselage of the biplane (his clothing no doubt hiding his harness and cable attachments to the a/c) is not nearly as hazardous as what real wing walkers have done for decades.
On second thought, did cruise wear it for the movie only? Being the uber scientoligist that he is, do they even believe in St Christopher? I’m thinking not. But if it rings out to youngsters and helps steer them to Christ, that’s a good thing in my book.
I found it too long and rather boring. It was slow. And when the President is discussing nuking all the other countries before the AI nukes us, someone says we should nuke one of our cities as a ‘gesture’. What the ever living hell???? And she agrees! Typical.
Martin Landau, Peter Lupas, Greg Morris.
Much more subtle.
The movies are so so. Too much action. I didn’t like tge first movie because they made Jim Phelps the bad guy for only about 25 million dollars.
And the IMF were NOT a government agency.
Greg Morris was supposedly so disgusted with the first reboot movie that he walked out of the premiere midway
