Harrison argued there were only so many notes and chords. He gave other examples.
A case if chasing the money. Had “My Sweet Lord” bombed they wouldn’t have sued.
I saw this live. It was Yardbirds with Jimmy Page and he whipped a violin or viola bow to play on his guitar strings, in Dazed n Confused. Every pothead and or hippie thought this was beyond cool.
That was intentional, and some of the Four Seasons loved it. Tell Her About It was supposed to sound like early 60's girl groups. I think every song on that album was supposed to sound like his heroes.
But it doesn't make sense. Don Felder, who wrote the music ('Mexican Reggae'), wasn't in the Eagles until three years after they toured with Jethro Tull.
Page plainly stole stuff, but this nonsense where you can wait 40 or 50 years to complain is ridiculous
“Page plainly stole stuff”
Says most all dead Blues Man. But Zep gave them credit for half their music output.
Thanks. Didn’t know that. Knew Felder wrote it, but not when he joined the band.
