I don’t see “global warming” as a bad thing. Longer growing seasons in the far north seem like a good thing. My question is, are increasing temperatures in the polar regions matched by increasing temperatures near the equator? I doubt it.
We keep expecting small island nations to disappear, but they don’t.

I guess it’s true that if you tell a lie long enough that some will believe it. Well, maybe a few will believe, but apparently not that many.

New York Democratic Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez said in 2019 that Miami will not exist “in a few years” due to the effects of global warming.Only 5.73 years left.

But the amount of glaciers that extend out over the oceans will melt and
displace less volume that the glacier did because ice take up more
volume than the water. That was my point. But this applies only to the
ice support (floating on) water. The ice sitting on land becomes meltwater
that will raise ocean levels. So whether we all drown eventually
depends of which ice where melts more.
Or something like that. Water expands when it freezes, ya know…

glaciers that extend out over the oceans will melt and displace less volume that the glacier did because ice take up more volume than the water. Ice does indeed take up more volume than liquid water. That's why it floats, and some of it extends above the water surface. However, as it melts, it loses volume. The liquid level is unchanged when floating ice melts. This phenomenon is easily verified in your kitchen.
