Has the gate been there long? I recall a story some years ago about someone writing some graffiti on the wall of the Colosseum. I believe the authorities pressed charges.

He screamed till he lost consciousness and then hung lifelessly from the fence in horrifying scenes witnessed by crowds of tourists, according to reports. He's lucky it wasn't back in the Colosseum's heyday. People probably would have cheered.

I have visited The Colisseum a dozen times and don’t even recall seeing these fences. Fortunately he survived … I hope he learned something. As for The Colisseum it has witnessed far bloodier spectacles.

Not a doctor, but the stitches were probably for torn skin, not the spinal injury.

FFS. What an embarrassment.

For a short while, echos of the Colosseum’s past reverberated around it. Ah, the good old days ...

Lol! I don’t use duct tape very often...
But when I do,
I use Gorilla Brand.
The original Duck Tape has gone skimpy on the glue!

The Dems will say JD Vance had just passed by the Colosseum.

Q. Why did they have to close the Colosseum in Rome?
A. The lions ate up all the prophets.
An American tourist in Rome impaled himself on a metal fence at the Colosseum while possibly trying to take a selfie — screaming in pain as he was left helplessly dangling for more than 20 minutes...
