He will remove the “eternity” that God has built into our hearts, into our makeup. Just like the Covid vaccine, but on a greater scale, if you don’t take it, you won’t be able to do basic things, and you won’t be able to buy or sell, and you and your family will be hunted down and beheaded which is the penalty for not taking the mark. The temptation to take the mark will be almost unbearable, taking place at a time when a plague, and the Bible describes the plague as being similar to bubonic plague, not the Covid flu, will be killing people left and right, and during a time of famine. You won’t be able to “live off the land.”

I recall hearing somewhere, maybe in an English Literature survey course, that as recently as Elizabethan times, women's roles in theater were played by men. This may (to my admittedly limited knowledge) have been true in ancient Roman and Greek theater as well.
