My privilege, I find it very intuitive that you caught onto that common denominator... :)
Another thought though. The difference is MS is Proprietary so no one can edit or eliminate the dependencies like Direct X.
Linux can be edited and changed as liked by each individual user if they have the skills and want to.
You can literally build your own Distro or OS and even edit apps to work on your Distro and OS as you want.
You can even edit the core Kernel to your taste as you like. :)
yea, but tell that to the average user...
I’m still trying, (sort of) to get Wing commander IV to play on my PC.
There are glide emulators but i haven’t tried them.
Glide was the DirectX competitor at the time i believe.
My 3dfx Voodoo2 card is out in the garage but i’d probably have to build a new (old) PC around it..lol
Actually i’ve been thinking about it...
Ya know after re-learning about Glide https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Glide_(API) my goal tomorrow is to get WC IV running on my pc.
Lets see what happens tomorrow after the beer wears off...
#35 If you are at the Desktop then do the steps listed below.
Otherwise do a System Restore to revert back to an earlier time.
Repair Windows without worrying about losing your personal files. The two steps to use listed below.
They will replace files corrupted or missing. Takes less then 10 minutes.
Right click on the Start button then click on Search. Type in: cmd then hit Enter.
Right click on the top result: Command Prompt
Then click on Run as administrator
DISM /online /Cleanup-image / restorehealth
Followed by:
sfc /scannow
What AI code? Windows looks the same, Office does too.
I bet it is the surveillance part of Windows 11 and 12 that AI is coding.
Thank you. I will try. Had an issue prior that only recent restore pts appeared, and none from before the offending update that caused my issues.
