article clearly states NYAG office hired the lawyers to defend James, and NOT personally retained by James:
“Lowell, a partner at the Winston & Strawn LLP law firm, was hired by the Office of the New York State Attorney General and not retained personally by James, according to the Times Union.”
Thus, NY taxpayers are paying to defend James against numerous instances of her personal mortgage, zoning, and licensing fraud ...
Who is the head of NYAG office? Could that be considered theft of taxpayer money?
