Not really wrestling- though it has some which is similar to it- jui jitsu or however it’s spelled, but it has a lot of holds that wrestlers don’t use. Mostly though it is kick boxing on steroids- with small gloves. They do have bare knuckles mma too. It has a bunch of different martial art styles all mixed into one- Thai fighting style is big- one of the best would knee people into submission-

Supposedly it’s safer than boxing beczuse either the fighters give up sooner, tap out, or get knocked out sooner than in boxing, or the ref calls the fight sooner as well. But it’s stil pretty brutal and bloodier than boxing.

It kidnz started from tough guy competitions where mostly bar security folks would compete, and from illegal street fighting which grew pretty big. Then mixed martial artists began dominating the street brawlers znd bar fighters, until it got organized and became a thing. There were a few senators who tried banning it, but it got really big after the very first where forest Griffith and stephan bonner fought their hearts out- turning people who had never watched before into instant fans- it just exploded after that- it was a wicked good fight.

To participate in Mixed Martial Arts, you better be really good at several methods of fighting, as you just described.
Good at doing it and /or recognizing it as someone is attempting to do a routine on you.

It’s not to be attempted lightly, unless your sparring opponent is either on equal skill as you, or even better, if both participants know how to pull their punches and lower the ‘velocity’ of any body throws.

You have to know these things to keep from unneeded injuries. Wrestlers already know much about moderation of strength. Boxers same thing, but more about moderation of speed, so they don’t quickly tire while bouncing around the ring.

It’s possible that President Trump didn’t recognize who she was. Kai Trump, who was right behind her grandfather, did shake hands with her.

What a big nothing burger according to your link. Sheesh, the man is the Leader of the Free World and has to walk the line. He obviously went back talk to JFK and Hines personally.

Just anything will do to denigrate him even on this forum. Pfft.
