IMHO the scene at the end of First Blood, with Rambo crying about coming home and being spat on and called baby killer, put the blame back on the left, including the military hating media.

Didn't the Vietnam War end when Gerald Ford was president.

I'm not sure if I would count him or Nixon as a Republican.

The War ended on April 30th, 1975.

US participation in the Vietnam War ended on March 29th, 1973. The war between North and South Vietnam continued after that.
