Excellent-on my list!
I get that, but maybe she’s like I am, wanting to look as young as I feel. I think that if I didn’t color my hair, that I would feel “old”. Men looks distinguished and handsome as they gray. Women look mousy and tired. Well, I’m not tired, and I don’t want my hair color to drag me down. So let her do it if she wants to.
I have an older friend who I think may be nearing 80. She refuses to say how old she is. She still colors her hair, and I think it helps her feel younger too. She’s a gem. If she can still color hers, I figure, why not?
I do not want people to start looking at me in a way that would suggest I’m inactive or waning. I like having energy. Like I said before, I’m going kicking and screaming into the next phase of life.
It’s not Botox that creates the really weird faces. More likely, it is the overuse of fillers or other procedures. Fillers make the lips huge. Botox and the other neuromodulators are more subtle and only temporary. They can sometimes freeze the face and look weird because of that, but they don’t add volume (and they only last a few months).
Regardless....whatever it is it’s unattractive as far as I’m concerned.
You might be surprised at the women using conservative Botox etc. that you do find attractive. When done right, you would never know.
“Men look distinguished and handsome as they gray”

That’s what my wife says.....not always though.

We have a lib across the street that just turned 70 y/o.....he’s totally gray but bald with a ponytail.......I can assure you, handsome and distinguished he ain’t. 😏
Why do these elderly woman all have long hair???? They look horrible....cut it.....
Oh, yeah, I agree; bald with a gray ponytail would look stupid.
We do have a friend who always wanted to have a ponytail in his youth, and when he and his wife moved to the beach for half a year, she let him grow it out. It looks ridiculous. Like a rat. We can’t tell him though. He’s living the dream.
But, yeah, it’s not attractive in the least. He looks like a beach bum hippie, and when he doesn’t shave, his gray stubble makes him look even worse. Very old. He’s several years younger than we are, too. You’d never know it.
Personally, it’s not always the long hair, it’s the over the top botox treatments, fillers, plumpers, and plastic surgery that make women look “horrible”.
Don’t get me started on the false eyelashes that adorn so many women these days. What happened to a little bit of mascara being good enough? Better yet, wear as little makeup as possible. I remember when the “natural look” was a thing.
Funny how some people can be completely oblivious to being laughed at behind their backs.
Dudes wearing toupees come to mind......my wife can spot one a mile away. Lol!
Never got that.....if it’s so obvious your wearing one, why bother? 🤷
I think at a certain age it’s time to cut the hair, it makes you look older even without the botox treatments.....
To each his/her own.
Makeup.....SMH
Some of these gals....especially on tv.
Pressure wash off that quarter inch thick make-up and you never know....you might find Quasimodo under there!
🤣
P.S. I met a 70 year old woman recently. Family reunion thing. She married a cousin that I rarely saw. She was fit and trim, and looked like she was 35. No fillers, no makeup, just a natural beauty. Her long golden blonde wavy hair looked just right on her. I realize there aren’t many women who can pull that off, but she did, and kudos to her.
Yes Kudos....very rare......
Jennifer Grant did act in the late 90s early 2000s but not much lately. She has 2 children and is a single Mom. She does keep out of the public eye for the most part.
Jennifer seems to have inheirited her father’s tall, athletic build. Imagine being her husband and having Dyan Cannon as a Mother In Law. Probably similar to having “Norma Desmond” at a child’s birthday party:
“Did I even tell you children about the time I went on a date with Johnny Carson, the talk show host? “YES YOU TOLD US Grannie!!!!” scream all the children in unison.
They have heard it ALL before!
