Yes they do like the term Persian, but it’s also more accurate. Iran is a modern day nationstate, a political entity. Persia is an ancient ethnic group that goes back millennia. Before Islam. It’s a biblical tribe. It has history that extends back to Ancient Greece and Roman literature.
The Deep State is making its last stand for status quo. We cannot let them win.

I was wondering how many posts I'd have to read before the reality of what Khamenei said would come forth. You are spot on. Some of them haven't been "sleepers" for very long, either; they came across the border during the cadaver administration.
I am convinced we already have terror cells within our borders. They have had years preparing just waiting for the word to be given.
The United States is not prepared to fight a guerilla war within our border. Too many think it is a police matter and each attack to be treated as a crime instead of what it is, foreign soldiers trying to bring us down with terror.

Iran’s been attacking us since 1979, when the USSR-backed communist students like Ahmadinejad and Iraq-backed Ayatollah Khomeini took power in a coup. Iran doesn’t need assistance when it comes to inciting war.

There are many possible solutions. All of them are bad. Many of them involve nuclear detonations in multiple places.
One might reasonably assume that Iran has a few atomic weapons right now. They have had plenty of time to acquire the necessary materials, and the technology for simple devices has been readily available since the 1950's. Iran has good engineers. They can make atomic weapons. What Iran does not have is an effective delivery system.
What Iran is also missing is a reliable command-and-control system. Their government is composed of factions with bitter rivalries between them and no faction can really trust other factions with control of nuclear weapons. Most likely, their equivalent of "permissive action links" are held by different members of hostile factions.
Another aspect is that the Russians cannot be terribly comfortable with a nuclear-armed Iran. It is within possible bounds of consideration for the Russians to provide Israelis with targeting information or other vulnerabilities so that the Israelis can destroy all weapons and facilities used to make them. The Iranians have probably considered this as well.
