A similar event took place last week in Columbus, NE for GOP Rep Mike Flood. People drove from miles away to create disorder and drama, from what I understand. And if the Republicans don’t have in-person town hall meetings, they are roasted endlessly in the media for not meeting their constituents regularly. It is a set-up by the dems, and expect to keep hearing about these, all over the country.
From what I read earlier today, there was an event last week in Denver, with AOC and Bernie Sanders. An analysis showed that, of the phones in the venue, something like 80 % (IIRC) of them had previously attended leftist protests and events ALL OVER THE COUNTRY, so a contracted crowd.
Only a candidate or politician’s own constituents should be allowed into a town hall.
You had no idea it is a college town?
And if that place aint the asshole of the world, there aint one.
Spent one winter there.
What a hole.
at least 75% there to oppose her, a startling dynamic in the deeply Republican state of Wyoming.
Laramie is the home to the LGBT, atheist and weirdo movement in Wyoming. University town.
College town.
It is the only county in Wyoming where Trump barely cleared 50% to win. The only county he lost was Teton County, home of rich liberals with ski resorts and government workers for the national parks.
“ if the Republicans don’t have in-person town hall meetings, they are roasted endlessly in the media for not meeting their constituents regularly”
Republican voters are not watching the legacy media, which is roasting them endlessly. If Republicans return to The… Trying to please the legacy media… policy again, they will lose everything.
Why don’t they do what even a well organized middle school or high school student government would do and set up two monitored microphones along the side walls of the auditorium? Have people who want to ask a question line up and then alternate side to side. Anyone who shouts out a question who is not at the microphone can be removed from the room. There is no need for chaos.
Democrats are such losers... And poor ones at that.
Hageman had the dem party organize it, according to the article.
You had no idea it is a college town?
><
Why would you think I would know that?
I bet you live in a craphole, too. Just kidding.
I’d say first WY is one of the most underrepresented States in these United States when it comes to members of FR. Despite it’s generally Conservative nature.
2. Harriet Hageman is a firecracker Representative and is not afraid of raucous town hall meetings. Laramie is home to the University of Wyoming and a student body that suffers from the same ills as the rest of the country. General ignorance.
3. As WY neighbors we pay a lot of attention to what is going on politically in the state and Representative Hageman is light years better than the former unmentionable Representative.
EXACTLY what I was thinking.
How many Colorado moonbats were in attendance from Boulder and Denver?
Bingo! Wyomans who watched will not be impressed with the behavior of democrats.
Hageman set a trap and the numpties walked right into it.
So, you’re suggesting that she let the dems organize this townhall with purpose?
I like what I’m reading about her tonight, but I just don’t get the point of what should have been fully expected by her staff.
I can swallow that...
...if her staff had cameras recording the crowds for the purpose another FReeper suggested in this thread.
Otherwise, it’s cliche’, e.g., Proverbs 26:4.
Thanks for that info.
Brownshirts on display for the whole nation to see! Maybe the worm is finally turning as it should and Hageman is just squirting on a little WD-40, eh?
This is organized and not spontaneous, as we could have easily guessed - Schumer accidentally let that slip that *they* “were sending people to Republican districts” to hound Republican congressman.
These townhalls are being reported as though the whole country is against Trump/GOP to try to create a bandwagon effect and make those who don’t feel this way (which is the majority) feel like they are the “odd man out” and to “take a second look”. This is the psychological impact they are attempting to have.
These tactics don’t have to work, but don’t lay down your guard and assume they can’t. False narratives and false optics can indeed work and have before.
