Someone, anyone should have spirited Terri out of the state.
She WAS on IV! They took out her tube! To make matters worse, there was a specialist doctor, his name won’t come to me, who specialized in swallowing therapy. The judge forbade him to administer swallowing tests to see if she could swallow on her own “because she might choak.” Terri was not brain dead. She could communicate, and she knew they were killing her. Everyone on Michael Schiavo’s side had an agenda to fufill, and they wanted her dead.
There were people who were in a “locked state,” i.e., coma, who got their tubes pulled, who came back, and they tried to describe the intense agony of dehydration. There is no mercy involved in such a killing.
Try going without liquids for as long as you can, then go a bit more. Then imagine what you’d feel like at the end of two weeks. It would have been more merciful had they taken a gun to her head. But no, death by dehydration is not supposed to be killing, it’s supposed to be a beautiful and peaceful letting go of life - so said Michael’s sicko lawyer. And be sure to keep the public ignorant on that one.
As much as I totally can’t stand Sean Hannity, I have to give him props on the daily coverage he gave to the Terri Schiavo case. He really fought hard on her behalf, and against the issue of euthanasia. Most of the MSM tried to force feed the acceptance of it down the public’s throat. She could have been saved, but those who could have done something just wouldn’t. At the top of that list was Jeb and his brother, and 20 years later there are those of us who remember.
This is very disturbing. If she could communicate she should have been able to tell them if she could swallow or not and other details. It’s not just murder, it torture and murder. This case should be re-opened and Michael Schiavo investigated. The cause of her losing conscience is not clear, at least to me, either.
I’m sure her *real* family wracked their brains trying to figure out how to get her out of the hospital.
