If this crime happened in New York City it would have been no bond and only a sharp scolding for murder.

My guess is none of the under 18 homies in NC even knew the law had changed. That would presume some of them are intelligent enough to follow the news, if they can read.
This thug’s bell ringing is going to spread that message, at least to some degree, among his peers.
It has always been my belief that a 16 year knows the law says it is wrong and illegal to murder people and should be held fully accountable. Even if they do not think it is wrong, which is what these ferals think, they are clearly aware it is illegal. But the system has told them that it is a “lot less illegal” until they turn 18.

I have seen a lot of, ahem, “unusual” names among this particular group, but I never recall ever seeing a “Zaquavious” before.
I do not have a problem with them being charged as adults; but I’m iffy about them being placed in the general population with hardened criminals, in a prison system that for some unknown reason, cannot prevent rapes, drugs and violent attacks in their midst. Prison should be about separating criminals from the rest of us, for our protection, and being deprived of the privilege that those of us not in prison, enjoy, and rehabilitative measures. I know; unrealistic.

For whatever reason, many blacks prize and admire very unique names.
