'It's really hard for me when my 10-year-old daughter asked me, "Mom, are you legal?,"' Daniela Rivas said

Well?

Is she?

True, but also imagine “American” workers would be a pain in their asses.

“I need a mental health day”…

The “dreamers” have been used as political pawns by the left for years. Many times there has been enough support and a President willing to sign a law to help them become citizens. Then the left wants to make ALL illegals eligible. At one point they actually used the slogan “All or none” then didn’t like the response.

The dreamers are in a bad situation. They could not apply to be citizens as minor children of illegal parents. This is the only country they have ever known yet if they apply as adults they first have to return to the country they came from and start the legal process at step one.

I have some sympathy for them, but this is a situation their parents are to blame for and no one else. The left has brainwashed their voters and the dreamers that somehow the blame is on Republican/racists.

Then change the laws and abolish "mental health days!"

But don't hire illegals!

Regards,

What percentage of their income or net worth would be sucked up by hiring a local citizen vs an illegal? I mean what are we talking here?

That is the point, entitled workers, that will change.

My wife did house cleaning for years and she had a very difficult time finding good help.

Even as a nurse most new ones spent more time on their phones as they did work.

Massive culture change is needed and coming

“What percentage of their income or net worth would be sucked up by hiring a local citizen vs an illegal? I mean what are we talking here?”

Percentage of income or net worth is immaterial. In my world the cost of the needed service is what counts.

It is virtually impossible to get an American owned service company to do work for you at even twice the cost of an under-the-table paid illegal. If you are lucky and can find a worker (illegal?) who is honest and capable, you will pay less and also skip the FedGov (IRS) reporting.

“If the people in this article need and care for their employees so much why didn’t they do it the right way?”

I believe the answer to that is because if these people obtained legal status they wouldn’t work for the wages they’re being paid, they would go else where. One thing being left out of this discussion is the laws that I would bet anything these employers are breaking, wage and hour, and deductions for social security and income tax at minimum.

It's really hard for me when my 10-year-old daughter asked me, "Mom, are you legal?

I guess we all know the answer to that.

I remember lots of Beverly Hills residents bragging about their 3rd world inexpensive nannies back in the late 80’s.
Last laugh by the 3rd worlders...

Chief Sarlo told the East Hampton Star: 'I haven't seen an ICE agent in this town in I can't tell you how long.'

Well there is a new sheriff in town and making public statements like this puts you on the radar. Time to shake up the liberal Hamptonites.
