I’m trying to find a better performing hearing aid and seek suggestions. Previous and current experiences make me wonder if there are more efficient units available. Hrs of online research didn’t produce any definite result and I’m hoping our experience base can help. Any advice is sincerely appreciated. Thank you.

If you’re a veteran, go to the VA. They’ll treat you right.

I like my Phonacs and concur with previous comments. They’re my first hearing aids. The charger is a little box that you charge then drop the devices in so you don’t need to bring a charging cable for a short trip away from home. The Phonac app enables you to make many adjustments on the fly. They are waterproof too. They are made by a Swiss company called Sonova and I would definitely recommend them to a friend.

I am way happy with my Philips aids from Costco. My second set from there. Still getting used to them, but delighted they were on third the price as the ones I tried at miracle ear. Costco is great with followup service too.

Phonak tuned in by a good audiologist. Works well for me. Provided to me by the USAF while I was still on active duty.

I had some cheap hearing aids long ago, but lately I just gave it up and refuse to pay that kind of money for such little needed to make them. I’m 91 and live alone. People who need to talk to me can just speak louder. The cost is just plain beyond my bank account.
