California has a long history of wild fires dating way back. I came across a newspaper article from 1938 talking about this.
Sam old story and same old blame game, except now the mess is much bigger because of over building and population.
By the way is you really want to understand the water situation and such in LA and California , watch the 1974 Chinatown, that is main plot point of the film ad John Huston’s character was based on a real person who actually at one time owned the LA Water Company.
Trade it to Denmark for Greenland and a territory to be named later.
“But let’s be nice to them, because I doubt that they’ll vote that way again if we present them with a good alternative.”
I’m doubtful. I think the brainwashing has been too strong. Wouldn’t even be too surprised if they doubled down on stupid.
The next six months could find us bombarded with “climate change” on steroids.
They are paying the price for the policies and principles that they stand for.
Sorry, but I don’t feel sorry for them.
PS my sister lives in the colony.
CA is officially non essential to the liberals.
And didn’t Sanchez change her last name from something else in order to appeal more to the Hispanic voters?
FR is from California.
2/3rds of Pacific Palisades has had a rough November, December and January then..
They’re, collectively, enjoying all that democrat leadership.
While that maybe true, at this point we have no idea who was affected and who wasn’t. Since there is no correlation between voting and the destruction (unless you believe it is payback from God), we’ll have to wait and see who actually did and didn’t get hit . . .
Housing inventory has been low for decades. You buy where you can.
This may be the first case where the housing stock in a city is diminished substantially overnight and where the law of supply and demand is upended with market values declining because there is no demand to take the risk of buying in such a hazardous area and shouldering prohibitive homeowners insurance rates. I do not care so long as they don’t accelerate buying in Arizona to foul up the state like they did LA
Very few notice the incompetence in any level of government until events like this take place or when crime hits home.
It really shows how irrelevant gov’t is to our daily lives.
It is sad that these leftists will never wake up to this and will constantly shift blame to something else.
For example, high crime in Chicago is due to lax firearm laws in Indiana, not the incompetent police created by the Mayor.
excerpt:
Of the 11,151 votes cast from those precincts, 71.17% went for Harris, while Trump and RFK Jr. received just 27.75% and 1.08% of the Palisadian vote, respectively.
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
any numbers out there on the gross dollar amount donated to harris/DNC out of the Palisade zip codes?

Nice. But resources of the whole US (i.e. revenue) will be dumped on California for a fix. Joe says all of us get to subsidze their BS policies at 100% 😠
71.17% voted for Kamala! Almost 3/4.
Nixon also won California 2x.
As you said, those days are gone.
Trump should let Gavin clean up his own man made mess. No fed funds.
Ouch.
