Great news. It seems I read something the other day they were keeping many of the people on the NSC and how bad that was for Trump and the country. This is a welcome decision!

The thing is that IF the counsel had been bipartisan instead of nastily liberal, they would not have been fired, kept their cushy jobs, and had a great life- well, now they can look for employment elsewhere thanks to their bitter partisanship!

He is only 2nd Republican to do this. The first to fire, en masse all political appointees was James Watt under Reagan.

Democrats do this all the time.

Let’s not jump too quickly too approve and praise Waltz.

He is Ex-Army and not as a JAG. There are entirely too many lawyers who joined the military and their service was in the JAG office in the green zone of Iraq processing divorce paperwork, and then announcing that they are combat veterans.

He’s not one of those. This is good. He voted against Ukraine funding several times. This is also good, not in the context of white hats and black hats in Ukraine, but in the context of stopping the war. He does seem to be vehemently anti-China, and that is hardly an anti-war perspective, but China is not draining a lot of money right now from the US.

The real downside to this guy is he is Swamp. He has been in politics and in Washington far too long. So he’s going to erase all of the people in the NSA and replace them?

With whom? There is far too much danger of him getting nominees put in front of him for replacing people direct from the RNC, and not the Lara Trump RNC. The bureaucracy at the RNC who will send him more Swamp people to replace the Democrat Swamp people he is eliminating.

Do not think Republican swamp is in any way superior to Democrat swamp.

So we’ll see. But for now it is far too early to celebrate.

Wake me up when this happens. They won’t tender their resignations and firing them will take months/years. They will continue to occupy office space.

We won WWII without an NSC.

I love it when a plan comes together.

Rubio should mandate the fag flags be struck at the embassies at 12:01 as well

That’s a given. Flying those flags at our diplomatic posts has been an abomination.

“But for now it is far too early to celebrate.”

We certainly can celebrate that his first major edict is the correct one. Without this move, nothing else positive is possible.

Every member is expected by the Trump administration to willingly resign at 12:01pm on inauguration day.
