—industrial solar and data centers? Effects on population? This has the smell of someone wanting to put in a 5G capable cell tower or some related high frequency generating function. It’s well known that data centers, especially AI related stuff use a heckuva power consumption. Then if the solar installation is gonna be used to generate, say, 600 Hertz AC, the local folks have good reason to be concerned——about their brains and stuff?
Actual disease may not be the exact issue but selling the folks on how harmless some other voodoo is might be closer to the problem.

Scan ballot into machine which spits the ballot back to you with a stamp “scanned” (which would prevent it from being scanned twice). The scanned ballot is for comparison to a receipt which shows how your votes were cast electronically. Compare the two. If recorded correctly, press “approve” and the never to be scanned again ballot goes into a locked, numbered box.
If the receipt doesn’t match the ballot, press “reject”, the un-readable ballot is shredded right there and you get to vote again.

Musk recently bought a facility in Memphis, the Electrolux building (which was closed), and is planning to or has started running AI servers there, with a net ultimate demand of around 150 megawatts. That’s 150,000 Kilowatts. For reference, an electric dryer uses around 5 kilowatts, so this is the equivalent of 30,000 electric dryer running, 24/7.
The building isn’t terribly old, and is now labelled xAI on Google Maps.
Also, to note, the left is not happy with Musk’s facility, though I suspect that if it were one of their commie/anti-American thugs like Google or Gates, they’d be fine with it.

Memphis? Needs another 150 megawatts of plug in? Sounds like they’ll have to add another turbine somewhere between there and Oak Ridge. At least Tennessee has plenty of rivers to work with. Elon will explain it to them. Don’t want to see the lights fade at Gracie Mansion?

I would bet those millions of dollars salaries which are not earned are expected to be “spread around” by the recipients. Generous donations to liberal causes, the DNC, NGOs, etc. Dems have money laundering down to a science and they are all invovled in oiling their machine while getting wealthy.

TVA has a large combined cycle plant, the Allen plant (formerly coal-fired), about 1/2 mile to the north of the X facility. And, they’re adding more generation at that plant, gas fired, in the form of fast-start combustion turbines that can be used to react to the customer needs and the inconsistency of sources like wind and solar. Of course, TVA needs to keep on top of its game and keep adding generation assets.
They’re actually adding 10 ea. 50+ MW fast-start generators at Johnsonville, partly to replace some aging old gas turbines, and partly to add to the generating capacity. There are also new combined-cycle gas turbines being built at the Cumberland coal plant facility, with plans to bring the first one on in a year or two, then retire one of the huge coal generators at Cumberland. They’ll do the same with a second one.
They’re also putting up a lot of $$$ towards the new small modular nuclear reactor which will be built in the Oak Ridge area. The concept shows promise. (though I think it’s dumb to be in on the ground floor, let someone else take the big financial hit).
At both the Paradise plant in KY and the Colbert plant in AL, TVA has added significant generating capacity in the last year or two.
And it’s all needed - TVA has enough on paper, but 2 years ago at Christmas time, they got caught with their collective drawers down and had to resort to rolling blackouts due to insufficient resources. A lot of it was due to doing a really poor job of winterizing plants, but part of it was also the attitude put forth by previous senior management that we’d never see power demand that high in the Tennessee valley again. They decommissioned a lot of coal, and replaced only part of it.
