Many thanks for your kind words, thoughts and prayers! Fire-wise, I think my area is OK for now. Storms are expected today, which will help mitigate the extreme dryness here.
There was a grass fire east of town last night around 10:30 or so, but multiple fire departments from nearby towns came to assist my town’s excellent crew, and that fire was quickly put out.
The parrot and I ended up not having to bug out. Now I get to go unpack the car and bring everything back inside. Heh. Still, it’s good to know that I can still “shake a leg” when it’s needed. :-)

My mind boggles when I see numbers. More so as I age. My engineer dad used to clunk me on the head every time I got a math homework question wrong. My brother could just look at a problem and would know the answer, without knowing how he got it. He also got clunked for not being able to show his work.
I so admire anyone who loves and understands math/science.

I was evacuated once. You have about 15 minutes to gather your possessions once it starts (if you haven’t been planful and already loaded your cars), so I now store pillow cases near key spots , in the event I need to lug possessions out quickly.
