Two or three show up on the edge of my porch each summer and just stay there for a week or two.
Actually saw two of them mating, but didn't see the aftermath (I think the male made it out of there unharmed).

The praying mantis just loves to eat Hummingbirds, I’ve killed two that were sitting on my HB feeder waiting for the little guys.
