Yeah ... especially for your baby who you killed.
Thank you. I’ll be for as long as possible. 👍
Shut up Sally! Your child is not alive today because of you.
“And WHY do people like her have to let the whole world know their sorry stories?”
Their consciences bug them. They think somehow time will erase this. But no.
It was far more horrific for your baby
Good point.
Her story seems a mishmash of unconnected items..
She graduated from high school. Nobody said anything about her going to college. So apparently she did not think about college after high school. Then she found out she was pregnant.
How are all of these events connected to each other?
And no discussion of how she got pregnant. I think we all know how that would have happened to her.
But she makes it sound like it just sort of happened by accident. Or at random. She makes a sound like it was a completely unexpected event ,,and that she has no clue how it could have happened to her.
Here is a fact - In the 1950s, according to Planned Parenthood:
“In 46 states legal abortion is permitted to preserve the life of the mother; three states allow. in addition, preservation of the health of the mother. Thus in the other states such abortions as are being performed legally, that is, therapeutic abortions, are for the most part being done on the word of psychiatrists that the unwilling mother will otherwise commit suicide....
Fact No. 3-Abortion is no longer a dangerous procedure. This applies not just to therapeutic abortions as performed in hospitals but also to so-called illegal abortions as done by physicians. In 1957 there were only 260 deaths in the whole country attributed to abortions of any kind...
Second, and even more important, the conference estimated that 90 per cent of all illegal abortions are presently being done by physicians. Call them what you will, abortionists or anything else, they are still physicians, trained as such; and many of them are in good standing in their communities.”

Another fact: Fields writes, “And then I found out I was pregnant.” Apparently, Zeus was the father. It was an act of God, one she had no control over or ability to deny...
Or maybe not. Maybe she was having sex and what happens often enough DID happen.
She reminds me of my aunt. Another aged commie lib. Andbeing female, a perpetual victim of the world.
Oh I felt that way way back when she said that cringe in her acceptance speech. The fact that she’s dredging this up now means she’s using it for obvious political purposes which understandably makes me doubly not like her.
Here is a story I found out years after the death of my Grandmother. Shortly before he died, my oldest uncle told the family:
She became pregnant out of wedlock. My Grandfather, not the baby’s father, offered to marry her. She said no. She gave birth and gave the baby up for adoption. As it turned out, the baby was adopted by one of her neighbors!
About a year later, my Grandfather proposed again. She accepted. The girl grew up near them and her adopting parents found out. They decided to keep the information secret until the kids grew up. The girl grew up knowing my Grandmother and being close to her.
When she became an adult, the adopting parents told her the truth. She had suspected something but told them THEY were her true parents. But she also loved my Grandmother. About a decade later, she told my uncle and he confirmed it with his parents. They all decided to keep it quiet.
In their 60s, my uncle and the lady told some of the rest of the family. After the lady died, my uncle told the rest. Turns out all the rest suspected something but didn’t want to pry. And my aunts and uncles all liked the lady and she had remained lifelong friends with them.
BTW, my Grandma had her first pregnancy around 1910! And as one of my aunts commented, it really was not that uncommon back then!
Sally Fields DID have other choices, as you noted! Choices that could have brought a lot of joy into the world.
And thank you for YOUR choice!
Probably...they were staunchly Catholic up until recently.
I just looked it up and the birth control pills came out in 1957 and another updated one on 1960, so Sally could have gotten on that when she was a teenager.
“Just like every other lefty Tinseltown freak. And she made a deal with the devil for it.”
And, just like every other leftie, she’s been a Democrat ever since. The entire Democrat Party has apparently made that same deal.
“Oh I felt that way way back when she said that cringe in her acceptance speech. The fact that she’s dredging this up now means she’s using it for obvious political purposes which understandably makes me doubly not like her.”
Same here. Add one more name to that list of Hollywood aholes that I will never watch or admire again... quite the opposite. Many people have had “no finances” and yet still managed to give birth and raise children. Hell, my parents were raised during the Great Depression and came out just fine... and it may not have been fun, but it is possible. Only gutless, self-absorbed people do what Sally did, IMHO.
Vile woman. Disgusting freak of nature. All of them.
She killed her baby and she wants sympathy and applause? May that dead baby’s spirit haunt her.
"BTW, my Grandma had her first pregnancy around 1910! And as one of my aunts commented, it really was not that uncommon back then!"
My father's father (my grandfather), was illegitimate. He was born in Holland in 1875. His father (my great-grandfather) was born in 1843. He had been previously married in 1869, and had children with his first wife. She died in 1877, but I have no idea if they ever divorced. He married his second wife, my great-grandmother in 1878, three years after my grandfather was born. My grandfather and grandmother married in Holland on May 15, 1902. Their oldest son was born July 2, 1902, so it looks like he was conceived out-of-wedlock too. My father was born October 28, 1904, and the last son was born May 18, 1908. They left Holland, entering through Ellis Island on March 29, 1913. My grandmother died of TB March 17, 1919. My grandfather and the three boys were naturalized in May 1920.
At the time I became pregnant, I had been employed as an office worker for less than a year at the Monroe County (Rochester, NY), Department of Children's Services, which dealt with foster care, and unwed mothers. The woman I worked with were very kind to me during my pregnancy, and I worked up until about 3 weeks before my son was born, and returned to work within a month of giving birth.
“And then I found out I was pregnant.”
Just like that? Sounds like she was surprised! “How did I become pregnant?”
🙄🙄🙄
You know what Sally...think long and hard...
Your life changed when you decided to have sex.
Simply put, you are a metaphor for Eve...and you FLUNKED THE TEST.
But remember...YOU WERE NOT INVOLVED IN THE CHOICE...IT WAS.....SOMEBODY OR SOMETHING ELSE...YEAH, RIGHT.
BOO HOO, JUST TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR YOUR ACTIONS AND FORGET THE REST OF THE DRAMA.
Some Nun she was.
