It always astounded me how much they referenced WWII and Germany 30 years after the war. A lot of the folks watching that lived through the terror bombing of London or heard from veterans who were fighting Germany and lost loved ones. John Cleese in Faulty Towers goose stepping around the room with his hand mimicking a mustache was hilarious.
