I still have, and occasional use, my mother’s 1970s Kenmore sewing machine. Although it is supposed to be a portable model, it is very heavy. All the parts are metal. It should continue to last a very, very long time.

They did. I still had a set of them as recently as 10 years ago.

Here’s one to add to the thread.
Driving home through VT today, we ended up behind a beautifully restore Ford Pinto.
After all these years, I still recognized it and when we got close enough, due to a slow down at a construction zone, I checked just to make sure, it sure enough it had the emblem and word *Pinto* on it.
And the owner had put two small stickers on his rear window that said “This is not a Gremlin” and “This is a Pinto”

I went to a recent wedding. The Polaroid camera concept is still in production. People could take pictures of themselves or groups and attach the photo in a guest book..

Still alive.
So are we. Much to the chagrin of the color revolutionaries.

10. Transistor radio: Portable transistor radios, a must of the 70s, allowed you to enjoy music at any time. Now, FM radio is integrated into modern smartphones. ? I can install apps to do this, but it is not integrated into any iPhone I've bought.

Yeah. Clemente didn’t pop into my mind because he died so early in the 70’s, must have thought he died before the 70’s.

That’s for certain. It will never return, either.

I could never understand putting salad dressing on your football players.
I guess it could make them harder to tackle...
