Sheep need someone always tending them which is why because of cost and State regulation you see no sheep grazing in California mountains. Any BLM or Forrest Service Land is still grazed by cattle. Cattle are usually GPS tagged now.

There are still sheep grazed in the Tahoe National Forest. My family used to have land and grazing leases in the Sierra’s above the Carson Valley.

There was a recent attack in Malibu State Park where a mountain lion attacked a 5 year old boy who was with several family members among over 40 people in the area at around 3pm.
Boy survived, the lion was found in a tree and shot dead.

Malibu State Park is where the tv show ‘MASH’ was filmed. The twin peaks you see in the opening I would see every work day driving on Lindero road from the 101 freeway in Calabasas.

Several stories of coyotes attacking kids from parks to the beach.
Can’t wait till their are wolf attacks....
