Thanks for being honest. I too am a native Californian. 50 years born and raised in Southern California. We fled after seeing the writing on the wall in 2009 to North Dallas. We had a condo in Old Town Orange for awhile but after seeing more and more homeless and crime in the Old Town Orange area.....I sold the condo and cut all ties. I was approached and threatened by a homeless meth’d out crazy while I was sitting at a red light on my Motorcycle on Chapman Ave in Orange.

That was the last straw.......

We do go back on occasion to visit family and it’s becoming more and more dangerous. We have to go there on business at least a couple of times a year.....and it’s not safe and you can feel it no matter where you go in Southern Cal.

At least you are in rural California which has millions of good decent conservative citizens. I feel sorry for you and them though....California is as you say it is......thanks.

Orange County is really bad now, it’s about 80 percent ILLEGAL ALIENS and about 90 percent of them are gang bangers or cartel.

I’m 74 years old and I have kept my doctors in So Cal, so once every 2 years I have to go down there for my physical and whatever tests the docs want.

I used to have college classes in a satellite campus in Old Town Orange back in the late 70’s, early 80’s; it’s pretty much a no go area now with the bums, homeless, druggies and WETBACKS.

I lived in the City of Downey for 32 years (still own my home there) and even with a pretty tough police department you can see the ROT setting in.
Lots of homeless WETBACKS running around now and they will steal anything that isn’t WELDED DOWN.

Glad you made it to Texas and away from this insanity.
I have a 40 acre farm up here but if I was a bit younger I would be on my way to West Virginia, still have some family there

Father was from Midland Texas and Mother was from Mingo County West Virginia, how we wound up in California I’ll never know, jobs I guess.
