Been following on and off some of the discussion regarding our potential new 51st State and then Greenland would be the 52nd state in the canal could revert back to the canal zoom which would be a colonial presence much like others in our bag.

Those Burma-Shave ads on the road were so clever. I had forgotten about them. My parents always alerted us when they saw them. The thing we did on trips was just see how many different state license plates we could add up. It wasn’t a game as much as just a sharing, pool of the four of us in the car

It sounds like Natalie’s time back is showing the return of your girl! Being busy with Christmas and cooking were good and time with family better!
Has she been able to share with you anymore of the insight that she perhaps has had? Does she have any contact with her friends that she made in Florida?

Lol yes, they got the peach cheesecake. Ate some and my son took the rest home. I never tried it - too full from the tenderloin dinner. I did get some apple and pumpkin pie to bring home for breakfasts.

MsB posted that video. I like using the Frozen butter, that’s much easier than trying to figure out just how the dough should look and whether to keep cutting in the shortening. I’ve used that butter trick with pie dough I think, and it worked out good. I never thought to do it with biscuits till now!
Now I remember Alton Brown said to put the biscuits shoulder to shoulder, and so did his grandma. He had her on the show and they were competing on who could make the best biscuits.

The reason you put biscuits shoulder to shoulder is to make them rise higher. They don’t have space to spread out and the only way they can go is up!

Pumpkin pie, your favorite breakfast!
Since you’re the pie Queen you could have it everyday if you wished.
