Well that beats paying losers $20/hr doesn't it? /sarc
Do you actually think the developers of AI think about the spot price of unskilled labor and the min wage when they are developing these technologies? There is NO connection between this technological invention, the use of AI and the spot price of unskilled labor in this case.
“I have no problem communicating with an English speaking person. So they don’t pay enough to hire a proficient English speaking person? Screw this crap. I have to do their job for them?”
Perhaps you should ask JR to install a telephone bank so you can talk to a real person who would then enter your posts.
Hear hear!!!
“You could could not select more than one without find it in the menu a 2nd or 3rd time.”
I can’t imagine that being the case. Every point-of-sale kiosk app I have ever seen allows changing quantity both within the menu and then at the final checkout screen.
Regarding Subway, I checked the app — the sandwiches allow all the same choices you’d get in the store. I went all the way through just short of actually placing the order.
Ahhh ... proof by blatant assertion. I usually see that from democRATs.
I had someone with me. Which is why I needed to order more than one. Neither of us could figure out a way to do it without finding the item in the menu again(there was no quantity choice). And the menu was not even exactly the same the next time around. You had to figure out what Category the item you were looking for was in. That is not always straight forward.
Now you can go live in your Robotic world if you want to. You can choose to live your life interacting with computers instead of people. You obviously seem to think that makes the world a better place. You will most likely even accept your beastly number without any gripes. I happen to know that road is a path to a very lonely and dark place. You will make a very good subject for communism.
Interactions with people are very important for human mental health.
“There is NO connection between this technological invention, the use of AI and the spot price of unskilled labor in this case.”
AI ID a computer program. Computer programs have been affecting unskilled and skilled jobs for decades.
Remember when you had to ring up the operator to place a phone call?
“(there was no quantity choice)”
From the person that falsely said SubWay had no way of entering comments ...
I didn’t falsely state anything you moron. I ordered on line using a computer not a phone. It was a few years ago. It was buy one get one free only if you ordered online. And they had no way to add comments at that time. Either that or it was hidden in a way that was not easy to find. So delude yourself all that you want.
It seems that others think the app sucks. Just one comment.

“Can somebody answer me a question
I simply wanted to order a foot long cheese sandwich with mayo, however i cannot order that as it looks like there is only set sandwiches with options for extra etc. Why is it so hard to simply custom create a sandwich from a blank slate with no choices? Instead i have to choose the options that are already there that comes with ingredients on that I DONT want and cant get rid of. I abhor onion and yet i cannot remove it from the preset sandwich option that is there..
Last week i tried ordering The Stacked Bacon & Cheese SubMelt. I had the same problem, i couldn’t edit the choice i chose and remove certain ingredients..
Why does subway make it impossible to create a custom sub even though they have a section for that, that DOESN’T do what it says...”

I’ll ignore all the derangement in the latter part of your comment but I simply don’t believe there was no “+” or “-” or other quantity selector next to the menu items.
On another forum I am known for fairly erudite anti-AI posts and was exposed early to the pitfalls of AI while a member of the Artificial Intelligence and Expert Systems Department at a National Laboratory. At the same time, I believe that benign uses of AI can be highly useful.
“It seems that others think the app sucks. Just one comment.”
LOL! Person wants to order something that they don’t sell!
Raving moron says what?
“I didn’t falsely state anything you moron. “
You stated all you could order were cookie cutter subs. Truth: App allows all options available in-store.
You stated that there was no place to enter special instructions. Truth: App has a text box labeled, duh, Special Instructions.
SubWay is pushing those apps too. All you can get from the apps are cookie cutter subs. No place to enter special preparation instructions. The thing people normally can say while they watch there sub being made. Like how much of this or that. Or how to apply the condiments.
“And they had no way to add comments at that time. Either that or it was hidden in a way that was not easy to find. “
Oh, so maybe it WAS there! It certainly is now. You were also confused by a kiosk saying there was no option to select more of an item. Sounds like a personal problem.
Comment: “Why does subway make it impossible to create a custom sub even though they have a section for that,”
They don’t have a custom sub section ...
“It seems that others think the app sucks. Just one comment.”
I can also the possibility of someone referencing your false post as proof that there is no way of entering special instructions!
