Isn’t this called the competency bias? Where you here newscasters on TV talking technically about a subject, and seemingly having knowledge.. but when they say something within your level of expertise, they sound like f****** idiots.
I see this all the time when they’re talking about computer systems. It was blatantly obvious during talk about how Dominion voting machine computers were secure. When they were clearly incompetent to discuss such a topic
HaHa. Thanks for posting, ‘note.
*Faucett ‘cause his mouth always runs and he always smiles when his BS flows.

Under pressure.
Like many people, I have personal and professional expertise in certain fields of knowledge and skill. In other fields, not so much.
When Big Media emits items regarding my fields of expertise, Big Media usually gets things catastrophically wrong.
Therefore, I DO NOT TRUST Big Media on topics which are outside my fields of expertise.
Wikipedia used to have a very good article on the topic, but they took it down. I assume because doubting the state run media during Covid and the Biden administration caused wrongthink, which is a criminal offense.
