Has enough been done to secure elections?
“Has enough been done to secure elections?”
7734 NO!
Not one person in America is a threat to democracy.
Who took the chicom bribes?
Note what the people who refer to “our democracy” want. It is a deviant , lawless world I do not want to live in. Therefore, I say yes, we are a real threat to “their democracy” as we struggle to restore our Republic.
Both are threats to democracy. With Trump, we will get a republic. With any Democrat, we’ll get a people’s republic.
At this point, Republicans in Congress should fight to safeguard the middle class by trying to send middle class property and income tax cap constitutional amendments to the states for ratification.
It is important that democracy not be corrupted by ever more common vote buying.
The fights for secure borders and honest elections have probably been lost.
Total lack of understanding of the government of the United States.
The United States is a republic not a democracy!
What about weaponizing the DOJ to pursue political opponents like the political prisoners from the Jan 6 mostly peaceful protest? Or Peter Navarro and Steve Bannon for being in Contempt of Congress - something no Democrat was charged with despite Lois Lerner, Eric Holder and Merrick Garland being held to be in Contempt of Congress? Or jailing grandmothers who pray in front of abortion clinics? These are just some of the more egregious examples of the federal government pursuing their political opponents. Several local Democrat jurisdictions have done likewise.
Multiple people have obtained political asylum in Belarus and Russia for fear of persecution by the Biden DOJ. Tara Reade who credibly accused Biden of rape is among them.
The problem isn’t democracy, it is vote-buying.
Perhaps only 10% of the population should be able to more out of the federal government than they put into it.
You’ve paid $7000 in federal tax and you’ve drawn down $6000, ....
“Democracy” is a term with many, often contradictory, definitions. Some forms of “democracy” DESERVE to be attacked and destroyed.
The United States has not been a democracy for most of its existence, but a democratic PROCESS was used as the means by which the representatives to the Republic were elected to office. These representatives only hold office representing their district or state by a majority, or sometimes a plurality (defined as less than 50% of the vote, but more than any other candidate in a field of three or more) of the legally defined electors in their district or state, and these elections are held on a defined schedule. Nobody should ever have a “right” to remain in office for life or until they get bored with it, but stand ready to defend WHY the electorate should continue to support that candidate over any or all challengers.
Elections can turn into feeding frenzies that would shame a school of sharks at times.

Trump is a threat to Libtardism
Lady, do you think you and four just released male prisoners should vote on what to do this evening?
Democracy needs to be restrained by firm limits on government power such tax, borrowing and welfare caps.
There needs to be a cap on spending too. Much of the spending is on things which are not constitutionally granted powers.
They know it isn’t a democracy, they are trying to sell that idea to us.
A while ago another FReeper noticed that during one of the impeachments or something around 2020 Nancy changed it up and started calling it a Republic, because it suited her narrative at the time.
“he never properly conceded the 2020 election.”
You don’t concede to a thief.
“tradition of our country is that those who lose the election concede.”
That’s what the thief tells me.
Conceding to thievery and submission to criminals would DEFINITELY be a threat to any country.
F off Francis.
In her effort to appear evenhanded, she makes far too much hate of Trump not conceding. If somebody steals my car, am I to cheerfully can see you but now it’s theirs? And the tradition of conceding races she talks about, has she forgotten about Hillary Clinton? She forgotten about George Bush and Florida and Al Gore conceding?
And as to her assertion that social media was interacted with by Trump for censorship, nothing could be further from the truth. Social media and government minions were fully weaponized to damage Trump all they could.
No Trump appointee ever did this or brought to his attention a censorship plan.
Trying to be extra fair results in this kind of article.
