Leave the child alone and allow it to grow up.
Great article, thanks, especially like this -
“You express to them, “I love you no matter what and will always accept you as my child. However, as a follower of Jesus Christ, I believe that deviating from who God made you to be and what He has called you to do will only lead to more sin, sorrow, and pain in your life. I hope you won’t settle for that. I pray that you will turn to Jesus, and I want you to know that I will always be here for you.””
She can shout it from the rooftops but she will never have XY chromosomes.
We used this model, and our children turned out as model adults without issues. We wouldn’t let them play with the neighborhood riff-raff. We didn’t let them fly to my non-Christian parents. We paid $100,000 to put them in Christian schools with some homeschooling. We only supported them going to a quality local Christian university. Etc.
Some if these things were hard and costly, but they were investments that paid a high return.
To parents with young children..
To parents who let things happen.
To parents who have no line in the sand.
Know what you believe, and why.
Talk to your children about what is out there that you do not tolerate. You teach children to not play in the street.. And why. Do the same with other things you know they will meet one day.
Plant in their young minds, right and wrong on any and all issues. Let them know.. More than once.. What is right and what is a wrong.. And why.
Add in, wisdom from the Bible.
The Bible says to raise a child in the way he should go, and when he is older, he will not depart from it. I’ve seen this.. And it is true.
To srart the teaching when they are in it and you dont like it.. It can be a long road.. Those early years in children.. Molding years.. Use them wisely.
