Mandatory death penalty within twelve months of trial for the murder of any law enforcement officer should be a federal law.

I got to experience harassment by cops for twenty years until the guy who actually did the crime got caught.
Equal protection under the law, elevating one group over any other is wholly against the very foundations of our system.
The penalty should be the same.
Currently one can get away with murdering you and I due to being a member of a preferred protected class, i.e. see illegal aliens killing and getting away with it.

“Nope. Not until the appeals process is exhausted.”

I know right?
Have we learned nothing from even the most recent events? What’s going to happen when some grandmother bumps into a LEO at a counter protest event at one of these antifa riots. When the LEO suffers a coronary event two weeks later. The Media assigns blame, the court system is short circuited to apply this stupid mandatory penalty. Whos idea was this anyway?!

No, absolutely not. There have been too many cases of incarcerated people being exonerated later when new evidence is found.

No. The system moves slowly for a reason and that is to give lawyers time to dig through evidence and make arguments. Speed is not the friend of justice.

I oppose the death penalty for babies who have not been convicted of anything.

Why are they special? Make it so for every convicted murderer.

Twelve Month? 90 days would be better! In fact I like what Dean Martin said in Rough Night In Jericho!

“Lock him up. We’ll hang him tomorrow right after the trial.”

how about 12 hours for murder of anyone?

I'd say that is a bit excessive. Mistakes are made, after all. I'd say the appeals process should be funded to the point that it should be complete in a year, after which, the sentence carried out.

“...of police officers”

...because their magical blue suits didn’t give them enough advantages over the proles already.

I assume if one opposes the death penalty they also oppose abortion. But to be clear I oppose abortion in all instances regardless of the manner of conception. In any case the child did nothing to warrant the death penalty.
