“Democratic Rep. Tulsi Gabbard of Hawaii has resigned her position as vice chair of the Democratic National Committee to endorse Bernie Sanders.”

Look to the left of Hillary Clinton, it’s Tulsi Gabbard.

And that was 2016. She’s an independent, a good friend of Trump’s by all accounts, and brings a lot to the campaign. I’m not saying I support her but I’d pick her over Ramaswammy, Haley, Rubio, and some of the others. Even over Burgum.

Where does Burgum stand on H1B and visa student graduates? Was he responsible for Trump recently telling business CEOs that he’d sustain and increase H1B and let foreign visa students stay to take over American jobs from our graduates and workers?

Vance once suggested that Trump was America’s Hitler and that’s the only one that comes to mind. Material exists in volume.

....hope he’s picked because he can be a great leader

Fooled you, just like he fooled too many voters in our primary. Of course, FDR was pretty ignorant, too. His main skills were in charming people. On economics he was woefully naive and didn't know it. Which is where I think Vance is. And for a guy who claims to be pro-Trump (now, not always) he was awfully quick to kiss McConnell's.....ah....ring as soon as he landed in DC. The only person he actually owes any loyalty to is Thiel.

Oh so his resume doesn’t count? Built Great Plains Software without being in a Silicon Valley, sold to MSFT for huge $, went to MSFT and got a really good reputation, went back to North Dakota, his home, and became a well liked governor. I saw him talk - he made a lot of sense.

Do you know a lot about funeral home directors?

Timely Departure Act

This bill requires certain nonimmigrants to secure a visa with a bond.

Under the bill, an applicant for a covered visa category must provide a bond (or cash payment) of at least $5,000 and no more than $15,000 according to rules to be established by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). Covered visa categories include those for visitors for business or pleasure and exclude those for foreign government officials and crime victims. The bill also specifies that a nonimmigrant seeking asylum or withholding of removal while present in the United States must apply for asylum or withholding of removal by the expiration date on their visa to remain eligible for asylum or withholding of removal.

The bill provides that a covered nonimmigrant who overstays the term of their visa forfeits the full bond, is subject to removal, and is ineligible for any lawful immigration status (including adjustment of status) for at least 4 years and up to 12 years. Forfeited amounts may be used solely for detention facilities for non-U.S. nationals (aliens under federal law) and international transportation for non-U.S. nationals ordered removed from the United States.

The bill specifies that DHS, in implementing this bill, may only issue rules regarding (1) the collection and retention of bonds and cash payments, (2) the notification of the Attorney General regarding a nonimmigrant’s failure to timely depart, and (3) preventing the circumvention of the bond requirement.

There isn’t one in of these VP lists that I would want as VP.

**** Side note…I think Dr Carson is awesome. I’d like to see him as head of HHS to dismantle all the corruption there. I’d love to see him implement his plan about tax free health savings accounts that could be willed to family members….he crushed Obama when he talked about that

As for VP….any non-politician that despises DC, Congress and has a disdain for all the corrupt state and local governments that sell all of us out, daily, with their dirty, backroom deals

Vance said just enough about Norfolk Southern and the train catastrophe. He never mentioned how Wall St damaged NS, CSX and other companies, by cutting corners, firing employees by the 1000s and running on skeleton crews

When I saw the thread, my first choice was none of the above.

Nothing but negative thoughts about all involved came to mind.

You’re well informed, I was pretty sure that you were aware of what I posted.

Yes, they would pay the free market wage, if it allows them to make a profit. If not, they would go out of business.

“Unfortunately, the real minimum wage is always zero, regardless of the laws, and that is the wage that many workers receive in the wake of the creation or escalation of a government-mandated minimum wage, because they lose their jobs or fail to find jobs when they enter the labor force. Making it illegal to pay less than a given amount does not make a worker’s productivity worth that amount—and, if it is not, that worker is unlikely to be employed.”
