3,000 light years away
is a front-row seat?
Well I certainly wouldn’t have wanted to be 30 miles away...

“Will be visible this summer...”
Can they narrow down the dates? We’re starting summer now.

“Fortunately, amateur astronomers can optimize their chances of glimpsing the fleeting light show by following several tips.Amateur astronomers have been observing T CrB for decades; they can "glimpse" the star any time they want with even smallish telescopes. It sits around magnitude 10. That's not hard even for small telescopes.

I’m waiting for Bettleguese, it’s been off gassing for years.
They say when it pops off it will be seen for months.

I’m sure you won’t need it for this event, but wow, a C-8. I wish I still had some of the stuff I sold, too. I feel your pain…

SWEET !!! I wish they still made REAL CARS.
A High School Friend had '70 Chevell SS 375 Hp 396 that had a load of goodies on it. (Triple Angle cut Valve Job that was Ported and Polished/Custom Grind Camshaft from Acme Camshaft in OKC/Carter Carb on top of the Weiand aluminum Intake ported and polished to match the Cylinder Heads/TH-400 Transmission with a B&M Shift Kit/Beilstein Shocks/BFG TYRES/Ferodo Brake Pads/Real dual exhaust with high flow mufflers.) One day We were trying to catch up with someone on 290 out of Austin headed to Houston and it was the first time I went 160+ MPH. (The speedometer numbers stopped at 140 MPH IIRCwas pegged to the backside of the Zero pin)

Not His Ride but this is it.
My Brother had Pontiac GTO Tri-power 4 speed when He was in 12th Grade. ![](https://images.classic.com/vehicles/b17744c9101bb5c5ed781a492b1b13266ccdacbe.jpg?w=672&h=576)
Again not My Brother's Ride but IIRC His looked just like this one. When I was 6 He was going to take Me to the INDY 500 ('68 or '69) but He had the car checked over for the trip. They found a cracked Lower A-Frame and He didn't have the $$$ to do both 🙁.
