I checked on Google Maps and it says the address is

401 15th Street, Oakland, CA 94612 that’s located at the intersection of 15th Street and Franklin Street.

I’m also a native Californian and never heard of this school. But it does exist and it’s not some correspondence online school. In fact.....it looks quite reputable.

I had the same experience.

I noticed this on their website:

"University housing is conveniently located in a safe neighborhood of the city of Alameda."

Very sensible, or at least it used to be sensible when I lived in Alameda a long time ago. Parking in Oakland was dangerous even back then.
