I have known several families very well who had Downs Syndrome members. I have never met one family that regretted their child, or would give him/her up for anything in the world. I have known them as wonderful, caring, loving people, who bring joy to those around them.
I also spent time when I worked in psychiatric wards with two women who were suffering, one two years after and the other twelve years after having an abortion. They were not like clinically depressed people, or like most mentally ill people; they had a profound sense of remorse and regret, and had to live with the knowledge of what they had done, and received no genuine support from anyone in the mental health field. They were told not to feel the way they did. One of the things that made me leave the field.
A death sentence for both mother and baby. No sane person is denying an abortion in cases of ectopic pregnancies.
So we legalize all murder, if we can show that “stuff happens”?
Mis-carriages and stillbirths are not in any way related to abolitionist legislation. That is a really bad red herring.
Your reply reads just like a hard-leftist “but what about oopsie?” - which is precisely the grounds long used for abortion.
I’m unaware of any ectopic pregnancy ever proved viable
