I’ve only come across one copy of it with subtitles. Watched it numerous times without translation.
Hacksaw Ridge may not be a Top 10, but it rates an honorable mention.
Thank you for your service in protecting our country.
I do remember that show on TV...Great music...
VICTORY AT SEA was a good documentary on TV also...
This was specifically WWII movies.
For 2/3 of the movie, characters either speak German or Dutch...
For 1/3 of the movie, characters speak English...That is when Canadian troops occupy Netherlands after German surrender...
Im this film, you see Carice van Houten naked a lot...She plays the main character, a Jewish woman in Dutch Resistance...She does fall in love with a German officer...
Director of BASIC INSTINCTS also directed this movie...
Patton
On number 5, “Das Boot,” it said, “many soldiers onboard the U-boat.”
The fellow writing the lead article gives himself away, doesn’t he know the difference between soldiers and sailors? between the Army and Navy?
He’s probably a leftist.
I do not think that producers of THE BATTLE OF BULGE had access to any World War 2 German tanks...
Your father is not the only person who complained about the movie...Many other people complained also...
Not a Movie, but, WAR AND REMEMBERENCE.
And Carice Van Houten spends about half the flick naked.
Yes, wars are bad, but at least a few of them were wars we had to fight, e.g. WWII.
It would be nice to see a list of ten war movies which focused on the victories achieved rather than the horrors experienced.
Tied for my favorite WWII movies, but both are fictional.
Where Eagles Dare, and Kelly’s Heros.
Sex AND violence! Sounds like a “must see”.
It usually gets a mention as to why it ISN'T on the list, so it must be thought highly of.
A: He doesn't got s**t all over him.
Maybe I should start reading.
Yes, that’s it.
I think this is a list of the bloodiest, not the most accurate.
Read, The Longest Tunnel by Burgess. It will change your mind on Hollywood’s Great Escape.
Toro, Tora, Tora is probably the most accurate although they didn’t dive deep into the political maneuvering and lying that led to war. Bridge Too Far is more accurate than most. Stalingrad 1993 should have been on this list.
