Of course he’ll mention Beau. He’ll also wonder off onto an untrue story about his fictional past that has nothing to do with D-Day and then say “convicted felon” a few times.
Oh, and you can count on his comparing the Nazi enemies to “extreme MAGA Republicans” at least once.

Joe swam in the night before the invasion and planted timed charges on the beach to blow the steel hedgehogs away then swam back to the ship.
It was a very secretive operation and Joe is just able to speak of it now. What a hero.
(Full disclosure-I knew such a man who really did do that with his UDT Team. He later took a bullet while in a landing craft that morning. Total HERO)
