Thank you Sister! It’s refreshing to hear from people like you that appreciate the God given freedom to worship God and love my country!

When was the last time you fought a contract that you SIGNED and agreed to?

There is not one judge in the land who will rules against your agreed signature.

Been there...”

There is no such thing as a contract that forces you to accept internet filtering on your internet gateway.

You obviously have not been there.

I’ve been in the internet business for 40 years.

Search for the combination of your ISP’s name and the two-word term web filtering.

To gain a better understanding of the technology, read:

“right, I don’t want it but when I told the IT co I don’t want it he sent me a waiver exonerating himself (IT co) from ANY responsibility if there’s an issue.”

OF COURSE.

That’s the leverage they use to get you to pay the $500/mo for internet filtering.

Tell them you do NOT want internet filtering. You want internet site LOGGING that only you and your IT manager can look at. Logging will tell you IF somebody is doing something nefarious. And you can then take it up with the individual.

There is no liability to free them from.

As with any other service provider, you need to do your own homework, no one else has any idea what your IT needs are.

Then you haven’t read enough TOS contracts. There is always the “we can screw you any way we like if you use our service. And the we reserve the right to change our policy anytime we like for any reason we like” language.

Do you agree? It not then do not agree and do not use the service.

If you are using MS right now you have agreed to the same style of contract. In fact you have agreed to never sue them directly and use an arbitrator hired and paid for by THEM.

Who do you think they are going to rule in favor of???

“I own the company”

So you’re signing the checks. They work for you.

1. Line up another IT company to support you.

2. Give the current IT company one business day to fix it or they (and their subcontractor) are both fired...

My advice is to stop using company assets and networks for personal things. Problem solved.

Great info there! Thank you! I am familiar with how it works. Been battling it for several years now myself. And now that they are incorporating AI it is just going to get worse. It will be on top of whole phrases and sentences...

First time poster, long time lurker (10 plus years).

As someone who runs an IT company out of NJ dealing with small businesses, we also do DNS filtering of websites on our clients’ computers. However, we only do it as a way of protecting their machines from potential malware or phishing. For instance, VERY few categories of websites would be blocked by us by default (those less than 30 days old, known malicious sites, etc). Everything else gets determined by the client and whether they want to let their employees to have access to specific sites. One of our clients specifically wanted Youtube blocked, even though some of their employees use it for training videos. Also, if a specific website is blocked, it can easily be requested to be unblocked by the click of a button.

The email being delayed should be an easy fix for the IT company to take care of.

Feel free to pm me if you would like if you have any questions or need any further advice (my account is too new to send a pm).

The thing is you are making a blanket statement where an absolute does not exist. One of the largest LLC companies, World Wide Technology has a Christian founder. He is also a black American who promotes prayer groups, and uplifting emails IF you opt in. He is a multi-Billionaire you likely have never heard of, more money than Oprah, Jordan you name it. But Christian and you won’t hear of him. A person is comprised of many parts, but all of those parts are active, they don’t get turned off when you go to work, if you are a Christian you help spread the word and live the ideals as best we can. We fight the world with the word, not by being muted, but by being men of faith willing to risk the consequences. I certainly won’t call you anything, just try to persuade you if Christian not to shy from debate with left coworkers who have no issues being in our face.
To the main thread, if you are the owner of the company I know several companies that would help.

First, I’m super excited that I pulled you out of anonymity! LOL

Second, I really appreciate your clarity and input. Your parameters make sense (new website, known malware site, etc). Perhaps our IT co is doing the same thing but they posted a lengthy list of KNOWN liberal hot buttons like ‘weapons, misinformation (their misinformation and my misinformation are likely quite different), ‘hate’, social media, and a few others.

Regarding the emails (both the devotional and DJT emails) they just started getting either hung up or pushed into junk, possibly ALL related to paranoia :)) But I really have a distrust for entities that self appoint as the smartest entity in the room.

I will PM you

You wrote “I have a company in Orlando”

That is extremely vague. Why couldn’t you write “I OWN a company in Orlando”?

“Have a company” can mean many things. Could be where you work.

Precision in language is important as any good company owner and CEO knows.

Good post. We spend considerable time at my company spreading the Word of God to a lost world.

Yes, I am the owner. I’d like to deal with a company that has a local presence since they do need to come by from time to time. Do you know any entities in Central Florida? PM me if so.

You sound like a consultant trying to not identify the company when you write “I have a company.” You could have been precise in your wording: “I own a company” or “I am the CEO of a company.”

Nice try trying to wriggle out of your poor communication skills. You really should concentrate on polishing them up.
