I was about 200 feet from my home when I saw a baby moose in the middle of the road, no sight of mom but I resisted the temptation of getting out of my truck and taking a picture. As I pulled in my driveway I saw the mom pop out the brush in my mirror.This was in Connecticut.

No, you can carry, but where I lived and the trails were only a mile and a half from University of Alaska campus. So close to town, the highway and paved roads, if there was a bear in the area there would of been reports. I had been skiing/walking on that trail for years & seen plenty of moose. Always gave them the trail and space and that was the first and only one to give me a scare.

I took a few more of this momma and twins, but I was in a car and we saw them on the main road and just pulled over to snap a few shots.
