I hated Capaldi. But by the second episode he was perfect for the role. But like you said, some awful writing.

You boogered up the name, but I thought Peter Davison did alright.   Then when David Tennant came along I thought it was interesting that he married Georgia Tennant (née Moffett), the daughter of Peter Davison.   She portrayed "The Doctor's Daughter"(cloned) in David Tennant's Doctor Who episodes.

Never mind that in Doctor Who canon, there are female Time Lords, even in the reboot. (for example, Alex Kingston as River Song)

What are you trying to say?   The point is that up to that point no Time Lord had ever changed genes until The Master did it just before Doctor Who, obviously as a test case for Jodie Jodie Whittaker to become the Doctor.

In 2014, we were introduced to the mysterious character Missy, played by Michelle Gomez. Of course, in the series finale, Dark Water / Death In Heaven, she was revealed as a new regeneration of renegade Time Lord, The Master – formerly male.
Gay as a three dollar bill, Russell T. Davies has been orchestrating this and playing us the whole way through.

I watched it in the late 80s/early 90s, when bbc also had Red Dwarf, Absolutely Fabulous and Black Adder on.

The ones that made BBC panic and write “Trial of a Time Lord” to try and make things interesting to viewers again.

BTW, the character Peri Brown was supposed to have been from Fell’s Point in Baltimore MD.

This could ruin his chances for playing woke, black, gay James Bond.

The way things are going, the real-life James Bonds are all woke, black, and gay.

That’s about the same timeframe when I watched.
