Don’t care for leftist rampage commentaries, but re: Butker’s speech on its own — the Catholic girls school alum in me thought the speech negated women called to be nuns, or faithful women (married & unmarried) who devote themselves equally to other spheres of life, and to tending to the poor, the sick, to orphans, etc…

The born-again Christian in me thinks it’s dangerous to tell people life “begins” when you become a parent or get that job promotion — it begins when you meet and fully surrender your life to Jesus full stop.
