"Laurence Harvey played the British civil servant Macy, a prickly man in the boring and wet jungle of Borneo trapped in a home with two other Brits, the married couple of Mr. (Tom Helmore) and Mrs. Warwick (Joanna Pettet), who have about 40 years of age between the two of them."
"Being bored and rather arrogant and full of himself Macy sets his eyes on the beauty that is Mrs. Warwick. He uses the wiles of the mischievous criminal Tommy Robinson (Don Knight) to help get her. Robinson knows of a local earwig which will drive a man insane and eventually to death while feasting on his brain if it wanders in his ear canal because it will be unable to work its way back out. Macy pays Robinson to have someone insert one of the earwigs into Mr. Warwick’s ear while he sleeps ....."

Anybody know the minute in the show where we see this ?
I don’t have 50 minutes to waste

See what? The show is the story, there isn’t a moment to skip to for a statement or an act, or scene.
This episode has stuck with a lot of people for 50 years.
I posted this for the people who wanted to rewatch the episode and to jar their memory for the thought that I know has been bouncing around in a lot of heads every time they see something about RFK’s brain worm.

I was a kid when that episode of Night Gallery aired. Freaked me out for a few years.

If I recall this episode correctly, Mr. Warwick against all odds survived the earwig as it ate its way through the brain and came out the other ear. But there is a very horrifying plot twist at the end.

Interesting how the mention of RFK Jr’s brain problems brought back quick memories of this old show.

It is well worth 50 minutes for this. Got it on DVD, entire Night Gallery series.
And you notice it was 50 minutes long, with 10 minutes of advertisements.
Today the “hour long” show would only be 40 minutes long with 20 minutes of advertisements.

I watched Night Gallery as a young teenager. It was an awesome series! So many good episodes to enjoy.
As was Twilight Zone. Lots of treasures there.
By contrast, I watched all Outer Limits episodes a few years ago. Not one - not one worth saving. Worthless in comparison, IMO.

I remember that episode- and the ending nearly destroyed me as a kid.

Today the “hour long” show would only be 40 minutes long with 20 minutes of advertisements....20 minutes of advertisements devoid of white males, unless they are the butt of a joke.

It really creeped me out when I saw it as well. Classic Rod Serling.
