1) I grew up with “UFO” lore.

2) Your recommendations are of little value. Your reputation precedes you ...

Srbs are white and tall and hate us because of Clinton.

He took away Kosovo and all their vowels.

Did they take a stroll through a mall in Miami back in January?

Tall WHITES? That’s racist. I denounce tall whites, and demand diversity among aliens.

Not true.

It takes courage to have an open mind. You cannot know in advance what new knowledge is good or bad unless you consider it. That doesn't mean that you must embrace all new knowledge...it merely means you must consider/evaluate it.

A guarded mind is a fearful mind...and a closed mind is an empty mind.

BTW, you cannot fight an enemy you cannot define/know. And you cannot define/know your enemy if you are unwilling to consider what he is and what he believes.

Fact: During the Carter era FOIA was introduced and the government released many files they would never release today.

Fact: Dolan’s research is based on those documents with meticulous footnotes.

The documents are the documents—this is not about me.

It takes courage to have an open mind.

I strongly disagree.

A truly open mind is a sewer, or a garbage pit. It contains anything that anybody chose to throw in it, for reasons good or ill, with no effort to assess the content. An open mind is a lazy mind.

Your post is internally contradictory. Read it carefully.

Fact:

Fact: people who bullet point their arguments with "Fact:" are engaged in rhetorical bullying.

If I said it was my opinion you would say it is about me.

If I said it was a fact you would say it is about me.

ROFL!!!

At the end of the day, it is about you. By aggressively promoting a website full of bogosity (you know what I’m talking about), you wreck your credibility generally. Metaphorically pounding the table with “Fact:” doesn’t help you.

Have a nice day.

I am not going to convince you of anything.

I post links for those who have active curiosity and minds that are not locked closed.

There may come a time when something happens to you that changes your views on this topic.

It may well come when you least expect it—and then hopefully you remember our discussions in a positive way.

The link I gave you were real people telling their experiences to the best of their ability.

You have the right to dismiss them as fantasy or fiction.

I view them as legitimate data.

One of the biggest problems science has is the tendency to dismiss outlier data too quickly—when it is often a clue that existing scientific templates have serious flaws.

See tagline. A scientist starting an investigation with a bias only confirms his bias.

That doesn't mean a lack of discernment, it means a lack of bias.

A scientist (which is what we are when it comes to learning) doesn't accept everything he sees as true (and thereby fill his head with "garbage") it means that he doesn't automatically dismiss it as false until he sees the evidence.

You are suggesting a dismissal of information as false before you even look at the evidence.

An open mind is a lazy mind.

Stupid comment. A closed mind is a lazy mind because it refuses to do any work...it just discards new information that is at odds with its bias.

You are confusing an "open mind" with a mind that doesn't evaluate new information. I would agree with you that if an open mind doesn't evaluate new information, it is going to get filled with garbage. And that's just about as bad as a closed mind with no information.

I just reread it carefully several times. I cannot find the internal contradiction you speak of.

Can you be more specific?
