In all honesty, if I lived in that dump (kommiefornia), I’d have about 3 CA compliant Springfield M1As with a dozen ten round mags and a few thousand rounds of ammo. Minimum. The M1A is the civilian version of the venerable M14 which is an excellent battle rifle.
