Yes he is, and I hope to see this side of him when he runs again for president in 2028.
I think this outstanding new law could have the words “Squatter Protection Act” added to the title. Florida already has some stand your ground laws. Any squatter in my home would be a threat to me and my family and would ultimately need to be removed in a body bag. Just my $.02.
Sure, legislators passed the bill; that is the way it works in Florida. The legislature in Florida is different than the executive branch.
Setting that aside, all Republicans and all Democrats in the Florida legislature supported the bill. It was unanimous.
Question: why doesn't every state legislature pass similar common sense anti-crime legislation?
It is probably because their governors send the signal “don't send me legislation that might make the liberal media mad at me.”
America's Governor is leading.
His press conference was awesome. He was fully prepared with facts and rhetoric. A model for Republicans — especially Trump’s issue staffers.

One more thing. Good staff work like this prepares a candidate for future debates, as he quickly draws on facts and arguments from memory.
I’m pro Trump in’24 1000%, but I have to give DeSantis credit for once again STANDING UP for the people of Florida immediately. This is a matter which should concern every single state’s citizens. Squatters don’t have rights; most especially illegals. I still think he would be the strongest choice for VP. I can forget the acrimony during the campaign; most important is to SAVE OUR COUNTRY, with strong leaders going forward.
Now how difficult was that?

If they see a For Sale sign on a house and not occupied, or just any unoccupied house, they can and will move in and take it over. And the law says it’s OK.
There a lot more, but the video is very detailed.
It is amazing that such a law was needed, but good show.
